To add some comparison: I am having here a T41 (P-M1500), also mostly
running at 600 MHz. Actually, I have set the frequency demon to slow it
down to 600 again if the CPU temp exceeds 56 deg C.

With my 6-cell battery I get something between 2 and 2 1/2 hours under
linux (design cap 47 Wh, last full cap around 31 Wh).

That is extremely strange, because to drain a 77 Wh battery in 30
minutes, you need to draw around 150 Watts (maybe something less, due to
inner resistance of the battery). I wonder how that salesperson would
explain this...
