[ltp] X41 - bus powered usb port

Hi,

there is an open question regarding the "IBM bus powered USB2.0" port
on the Thinkpad X41. Actually, on the left side, there is a usb port
and a slighyly smaller port right underneath it. Does this small port
solely sypply the power of up to 500mA? If so, where could I get a usb
cable combining the USB type A port and the power port on the one side
and a type B on the other side (I am trying to run a DVD-writer in an
external USB2.0 enclosure which should work bus powered without
addionally attaching its power supply unit)?

Any hints are highly appreciated!
