Does Xorg 7.0 support a separate screen going out to the VGA port? I
upgraded to 6.9 from Debian Unstable right before linux.conf.au, got
the rude surprise that it had suffered GNOME disease with significant
functional regressions (and I NEEDED the VGA output in order to give
my LCA presentation), and as a result downgraded to 6.8. I've since
kept Xorg 6.8 pinned until I was sure that the Radeon driver was
working as well as it did in X.org 6.8. I thought I had been told
that 7.0 still had an Radeon driver that didn't support a second
screen out through the VGA port, but I haven't tried it myself. Is it
working for you?
