[ltp] R52 - 18586MM - DVD-Burner - solid lock after sleep

My R52 running Debian Stable and backported x.org will freeze solidly=20
when accessing the DVD drive in any way after a sleep. If I want to use=20
the DVD drive, I have to reboot first, otherwise it will hang. Recovery=20
requires holding down Power for 4 seconds - that is a hard power cycle.

I've put up with this behaviour for some time now, but it's beginning to =

drive me nuts.

Parameters you might need to know:

    * Debian Stable
    * Thinkpad R52 - 18586MM (Intel 915 graphics)
    * 1.5Gb RAM
    * Linux latte 2.6.11 #1 Tue Aug 9 09:06:00 CST 2005 i686 GNU/Linux


Any suggestions on which particular set of chants and or ritual=20
offerings are required would be much appreciated.
