since at least the x41 one of these and it wasn't meantioned on this
list so far: the reverse engeneering approach for a shci driver
succeeded.

i run kernels with their patches built in for about 2 weeks now and
didn't detected any instable behaviour, read and write to sd's works
just fine.
if you don't wanna build your own kernel with this patches and run
debian: http://rantanplan.org/~rupi/x41 holds a 2.6.15.3 with the patches.
