Again, thank you!

I was curious if I was going to have to play with snapshot versions,
but it appears not. The T23 ran last night without error, was on
suspend through mid-morning and I resumed it about an hour ago and it's
running just fine. The GL screensavers are looking very good now.

Now I'm thinking of replacing the nvidia card in this desktop with a
Radeon based one.

In fact, the T42 is even neater. Debian supplies the xlibmesa-dri
package which includes the radeon_dri.so file, so I installed that and
the performance was the same. Of course, now I have DRI support for a
dozen different cards and will only use one. :-/

Unfortunately, the savage support doesn't yet appear in this package.
I see that the package libgl1-mesa-dri is the only package that
contains a savage_dri.so file in Debian. Looking at the dependencies,
I'm guessing that this package exists outside of Xorg 6.9 as it depends
on the 6.8.2 version of libx11. Ahh well, it's working and when it
breaks, I'll know where the problem is. Maybe by that time savage
support will be be incorporated into xlibmesa-dri.
