[ltp] Xorg 6.9.0 freezes on a T41p after a Debian update (unstable)

Dear all,

I am using the Debian unstable and yesterday updated all packages. It
installed the last version of Xorg (6.9.0).

Beside minor issues with xdm (which seems pretty messed up), the
server itself just freezes. I am now using the vesa server and think
about reverting to the 2.8.2.

My kernel is a vanilla 2.6.14, and I tried to play a bit with the
options (no DRI, etc.) but it does not help. The server still freezes
after a few seconds up to a few minutes.

Anybody with the same problem here ?
