[ltp] Problem with X (Radeon 7500)

Hi all,

I have a Thinkpad R51 with a Radeon 7500, and I've been suffering random  
hangs (nothing responds, even the HD blinklight remains lit if it was lit  
when the hang happens) when starting the X server (Mandriva LE2005).

I have never had problems once X is up and running, I have played 3D games  
and everything. Nor when resuming from suspend-to-disk, I suspend with X  
up and X comes still up. Only when starting the X server do I get the  
hangs, and only some times.

I'd say this is the "Radeon 7500 "DynamicClocks" randomly hangs" listed in  
ThinkWiki, which leads to the bug report:

Does anyone have a solution, workaround or comments?
