Hi,
I have a T42 with an ATI Radeon 7500 graphics card and a ThinkPad Port
Replicator II, using debain unstable (Xorg 6.9.0 with the open source ati
driver) with a custom kernel (2.6.15) and ibm_acpi module.
If I boot my laptop in the docking station the external lcd (connected via
DVI) shows the screen and the thinkpad lcd stays black. If I undock my
laptop the internal screen stays black. Once I re-dock, the video signal is
again present at the external lcd . The same is true for the opposite
direction (boot undocked , internal working -> docking, external monitor
stays black, internal works ,...)
It does not look like an X problem to me since I have the same behaviour in
console mode. I tried to enable and disable the lcd and dvi manually by
playing around with /proc/acpi/ibm/video but nothing happened.
Any ideas how to fix that, what's wrong ?
Cheers
Marcel
