A slow computer will seem slow when running VMware as well - a fast compute=
r=20
runs VMware clients fast too.

Subjective. Try it with VMware player and a pre-built OS, available at=20
www.vmware.com
Note also there are instructions on the web for creating VMware virtual=20
machines w/o owning VMware and using them in VMware player. (I did in fact=
=20
pay for VMware Workstation.)

If your host (GNU/Linux in our case) doesn't have drivers for hardware, VMw=
are=20
won't see it - thus my Windows 98 PCMCIA video input card is lost to Window=
s=20
running in VMware, as GNU/Linux has no drivers for the card, so can't prese=
nt=20
it to the VMware virtual machine to pass on to Windows running inside VMwar=
e.
Also, I believe USB2 becomes USB1 on it's way through, but I'm not so sure=
=20
about that.
