[ltp] Anyone else fix a problem with a "blinking" fglrx driver?

You right...
I set my aticonfig to automatically adjust the power state upon AC on-line and
off-line ACPI events, and the blinking doesn't seem to occur with that.
Somehow, though, it blinks when aticonfig is manually called... which honestly
doesn't make any sense to me. The /etc/acpi/fglrx-powermode.sh is pretty
short. Maybe it has something to do with the XAUTHORITY stuff the script
does.
Either way, the blinks occurs at other times for sure... not just when the GPU
switches to another power state.
I /was/ wondering, though, if it might be some weird interaction with
tp_smapi. I do use tp_smapi's force_discharge option with a little daemon
I've set up to emulate "stop_charge_threshold" on my T42.
I'll probably just stay the course for now. Other than this blinking...
everything seems fine, and the power management of the fglrx driver seems
pretty intelligent, so that's good. I think I can get down slightly farther
than before (with dynclock'ing).
Thanks for the response,
Sukant
