[ltp] 80°C in a T41p?

Hi,
since my machine came back from repair, it seems to become strangely
hot. At first I thought that a BIOS upgrade might have sacrified cooling
in favor of noise, but that much? I regulary get more than 80°C,
sometimes even 90°C when compiling my kernel etc.
If you have a similar ThinkPad, could you please run
while true; do : ; done
for a while (stop it with Ctrl-C), and watch the CPU temperature with
watch cat /proc/acpi/ibm/thermal
and tell us how hot your CPU gets. I'm sure others will find this
interesting, too.
