[ltp] tpctl, 600x, and 2.6.16.9 kernel issues ?

I am unable to get tpctl to work on a 600x running fc5 and a 2.6.16.9 
kernel. The attempt is from source. The makes and install all work, 
however attempts to install the modules fail with:

thinkpad: Unknown symbol inter_module_get_request
thinkpad: Unknown symbol inter_module_put

errors.

This is new. The sources are the latest from sourceforge. There have 
been e-mails on this and it is reported fixed on other distros. Is there 
a fix for fc5? Are there later releases then those in sourceforge?
