Since you brought it up, and since we're [OT], I've got a quickie question:
After I installed Debian, I used aptitude for a while but for reasons lost to
me I started using synaptic and apt-get again. Now aptitude has a fairly
sizable list of packages it thinks are unused and will be REMOVED, but which
are not unused at all (gimp is in there, some python modules), I think
because it doesn't have records of whether these packages were autoinstalled
or not. I want to go back to using aptitude but I can't figure out how to get
around this problem. Hints, suggestions? Thanks!
