Ho hum... Yet again it looks like the press got it wrong... Well two
opposing stories. One of them must be wrong. My money is on the first
(Being incorrect) and Lenovo haven't decide M$ only after all.

PS. If people want to change the name to something else, start a new
list is my answer. The Thinkpad brand still lives. And will do so for
a while yet. Just because the machines have evolved, doesn't mean the
name is redundent.
