[ltp] Accelerated 3D with T43 X300 (r300 driver)

Hi,

Did anyone get 3D acceleration working with the r300 driver  in a
Fedora Core 5 system?

I had to upgrade all X-related components to resolve various warnings
and errors. Eventually I ended up with the latest X packags from
Fedora development (xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.1.0-2,
xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.6.0-3, libdrm-2.0.1-3), Mesa CVS from 2006-06-14,
and kernel 2.6.17-rc6-git5; at this point any attempt at OpenGL
rendering, such as glxgears, crashes the X server.
