Hi Jiang,
Ive also got a T43 with the HTS541060G9ATA, 512RAM
# hdparm -tT /dev/sda
/dev/sda:
Timing cached reads: 3116 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1559.73 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 108 MB in 3.02 seconds = 35.77 MB/sec
which I guess doesn't help much except for comparison.
I'm running Slack10.2 and trying to get it all setup nicely, any ideas other
than elimination via ps ax how I can find out what is polling my drive every
coupla seconds.
