Hi.
After months and months of delayed tries, today I tried to configure
my x40 (debian unstable, 2.6.14.2) to use the irda port.
in the bios irda is enabled with irq 3 dma 3 and io 0x2f8.
I follow the instructions found in the wiki and in other pages on
inet: I modify my /etc/modprobe.d/irda-utils in that way:
alias irda0 nsc-ircc
options nsc-ircc dongle_id=3D0x09 io=3D0x2f8 irq=3D3 dma=3D3
then I try to
modpobe nsc-ircc
and dmesg:
Mar 4 19:56:45 localhost kernel: nsc-ircc, Found chip at base=3D0x164e
Mar 4 19:56:45 localhost kernel: nsc-ircc, driver loaded (Dag Brattli)
Mar 4 19:56:45 localhost kernel: nsc_ircc_open(), can't get iobase of 0x2f
any suggestion?
