Do you perchance have two copies of tpb running?

The tpb package automatically starts one copy of tpb in an X login
session, so if you start tpb from a terminal, or add it to the GNOME
session, you might easily end up with two tpbs.

Anyone can do any amount of work provided it isn't the work he is supposed
to be doing at the moment.
