FYI, for my R50p running at 1600x1200, I alias my startx to include a -dpi
110 so I can get fonts that I can read without going blind. This is at the X
server level so all running applications are affected and I don't have to
tweak individual "desktop" control panels. I happen to run in Fluxbox, but
obviously use GTK (GAIM) and Qt apps (kcalc and others).
