[ltp] Dual boot with two hard drives - Ultrabay

I have a T43 Thinkpad. Ubuntu linux is on the whole
60GB drive. I couldn't make a dual boot system (long
story - I've done it many times before but it would
not work with this hard drive because it wouldn't
defragment completely no matter how many times I
reinstalled windows and defragged with XP tool and
Diskkeeper). So I bought an Ultrabay hard drive
adapter and a 40GB drive for Windows.

I removed my Linux hard drive and put the new 40GB
drive in the laptop. I installed Windows to it.

I tried putting my 60gb linux drive in the ultrabay,
but it didn't like that. Could not find sda1. I
prefer to have Linux in my main slot anyway so I moved
windows to the ultrabay, and Linux back to the regular
hard drive spot.

As someone recommended here I changed hd0 to hd1 and
vice versa (at least I think I did what was
recommended). I used grub to do the following
commands:
grub>map (hd0) (hd1)
grub>map (hd1) (hd0)

Ubuntu still boots fine. If I boot from the Ultrabay
(windows), I get to the Windows desktop. Then windows
says "found new drive" and then freezes. (I got the
blue screen of death the first time.)

Any ideas how I can get Windows to boot from the
Ultrabay without crashing?
