If you tell wpa_supplicat to talk the wrong sort of WPA, you *will* get all
sort of connection drops.

As for the linksys gear, I have never experienced replays with a WRT55AGv2,
but since that unit cannot do WPA2, yours must run a far more advanced
firmware.
