Hello,

I have two memory modules in my IBM ThinkPad T23. One 128 MB that was
there, when I bought it and one KGM Kingston KTM-TP133/256 IBM (for 68
EUR 6/2004). No problems with them so far.

I am now thinking about replacing the 128 MB one with a 512MB one, I even
found a 512MB Kingston TP23:

http://www.csv-direct.de/artinfo.php?artnr=A%20G21039185

But it is about twice the price of other Kingston SDRAM available with
133MHz (124 EUR!)! There are at least 10-15 different Kingston SDRAM
modules available. And dozens if not hundreds of SDRAM 133MHz modules
from other companies.

Any hints on how to decide which one is OK for my ThinkPad? Do I have to
buy the expensive Kingston TP23 module? I don't want to put a module in
my ThinkPad that doesn't work correctly, but when I can buy a suitable,
quality module for less than 124 EUR I am all for it.

Regards,
