Dear all,
I recently installed fedora core 6 on my x41 with some problems with my
wireless card and I wonder if anyone here has a cure. Previously I had
fedora core 5 installed with no problem.
My current setup:
kernel = 2.6.18-1.2798_1.fc6.cubbi_suspend2 (rpm installed)
Drivers and firmware for my ipw2200 card (all RPMS):
ipw2200-kmdl-2.6.18-1.2798_1.fc6.cubbi_suspend2-1.2.0-45.fc6.at
ipw2200-firmware-3.0-9.at
ieee80211-kmdl-2.6.18-1.2798_1.fc6.cubbi_suspend2-1.2.15-14.fc6.at
I am also running NetworkManager.
Symptom:
When I am at work where we are using both cheap dlink access points and
some more pricey HP access points everything works fine. At home however,
I can't connect to my older cheap netgear access point, I have tried to
turn off and on encryption and changing other settings (channels, SSID
etc) but without result. It do works with Windows and previously with FC5
so I assume that the AP is working. See below for an output in
/var/log/messages
Have anyone experienced similar problems or know how I can get my wlan
working?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Joakim Lagerqvist
