Hi,

I recently upgraded the kernel on my x60s to the latest stock kernel
that Debian provides (2.6.18-2-686). However, I no longer have CPU
frequency control, nor does suspend to ram or to disk work. It looks
like the speedstep_centrino module isn’t loading:

    %sudo modprobe -v speedstep-centrino
    insmod /lib/modules/2.6.18-2-686/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/speedstep-centrino.ko
FATAL: Error inserting speedstep_centrino (/lib/modules/2.6.18-2-686/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/speedstep-centrino.ko): Device or resource busy

Has anyone else seen this? I’d like to report the bug to Debian, but
I don’t know exactly what’s wrong.

What could be causing this?
