[ltp] T60, X300, fglrx, XVideo freeze in dock

Hi,

I am having problems with my T60 (ATI X300) when using the fglrx driver in
Ubuntu dapper or edgy.

Whenever I use the notebook closed in the dock with an external monitor
connected (no matter if DVI or CRT) and try to create an XVideo surface
(playing a video, starting DOSbox with XVideo output, etc.) the Xserver
freezes completely.
When the notebook is open (i.e. when using two heads, the internal panel and
the external monitor) XV works fine. The problem appeared with version
8.28, 8.27 still worked.

Did anyone notice something similar or does have a hint for me?
