Hi,
For addressing some issues (especially the infamous buggy SATA-PATA
bridge on the T43/T43p/R52/X41/X41Tablet [1]), it would be very useful
to have some high-resolution photos of the relevant ThinkPad system
boards so we know what components are involved and can check their
spec sheets.
So if you chance upon a bare system board (e.g., during disassembly or
an on-site system board replacement), please take the chance to snap
multiple macro photos of both sides of the board, with good lighting
and enough resolution to read the chips' labels, and post the links
here or the photos to ThinkWiki.
Currently the interest is mainly in T43/T43p/R52/X41/X41Tablet, but
other models' photos may turn out useful later on.
BTW, thanks to all who contributed to the DMI database on ThinkWiki!
That information is extremely helpful, and is already used in several
driver patches.
