Hello Everybody,
I've upgraded my t40p to Suse 10.1 (previously 9.3), and am having
problems with wifi: I disconnect regularly and frequently - every 5 minutes.
For example, cat /var/log/messages | grep "ath0: link is not ready"
gives me:
Oct 13 17:13:02 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 17:28:02 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 17:32:56 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 17:37:59 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 17:43:02 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 17:47:56 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 17:52:58 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 18:08:00 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 18:23:00 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 18:32:56 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 18:37:58 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 18:47:56 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 19:02:57 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
Oct 13 19:17:57 narasimha kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): ath0: link is not
ready
I'm completely dumbfounded by this problem. I've tried several
different madwifi builds, with and without NetworkManager, with and
without static IP address; nothing seems to solve the problem. Has
anybody else seen this? How do you fix this?
TIA,
Vijay
