I am trying to figure out which APM option to choose when I get to pass 
kernel boot options to get power management to work well.

I tried option 1 and it works fairly well except when waking up from 
suspend 'artsd' uses up nearly all the CPU and I have to kill it.  I do 
not know what APM 2 (no apic) and APM3 (pci=biosirq) mean and if I 
should actually try to combine things (no apic and pci=biosirq).
