Running gentoo with kernel 2.6.17.6 on a Thinkpad t60. Has anyone else
discovered a solution to the weird occasional freezes on this thinkpad
model? An earlier post said that it results from excessive use of USB
ports, and since I experience this problem most often when using my
external hard drive, I think that is probably the source of my problem
too.
Anyone have any fixes/ideas? There are no significant or telling
errors launching before the laptop goes down- everything continues
hunky-dory in /var/log/messages and dmesg until the system dies.
