C6???
I have never heard of C6 before.
I have C1, C2 and C3 here and acpitool reports
C-states (incl. C0) : 4
Usage of state C1 : 10 (0.0 %)
Usage of state C2 : 602456 (83.6 %)
Usage of state C3 : 117947 (16.4 %)
for CPU0
and
C-states (incl. C0) : 4
Usage of state C1 : 10 (0.0 %)
Usage of state C2 : 1323264 (64.7 %)
Usage of state C3 : 33 (0.0 %)
for CPU1
Thermal zone 1 : ok, 45 C
Trip points :

critical (S5): 127 C
Thermal zone 2 : ok, 49 C
Trip points :

critical (S5): 97 C
passive: 93 C: tc1=5 tc2=4 tsp=600 devices=0xc210a310

I would also like to reduce energy consumption...
I was the one who started the last thread on this subject.
I have a X60s (model 1702-55G)
and a 2.6.18-rc7 kernel with two patches running
