These things happen if you mistreat any LiIon battery for a long time. It
happens faster for Sonys, but it will happen for other brands as well.
Basic rules:
- do not use the battery while itīs hot (>45°C).
- do not charge it with more amp/watt then the original powersupply was
rated. Charging very quickly is very bad (the "1C rule").
- do not discharge it too fast (read: do not overclock and run everything
at 100% load (CPU/GPU, Display brightness) and use USB Power connector at
same time. USB Power connector is the plug above/under the normal USB found
on some models) (a variation of the "1C rule").
1C rule: a LiIon with X Ah capacity should never ever have to
produce/receive
more then X Amp. If you want to play save make it 0.5C: X Ah capacity =>
0.5*X Amp
