On my X60 hal-device-manager seems to "know" about the battery, both
when /proc/acpi/battery has contents and when it's empty after a resume.
The battery node is present in the tree and the contents in the
"Advanced" tab are correct for my battery.
If/when you ran 2.6.20.x, did you have any problems with the battery?
My Debian kernel (2.6.20-1-amd64) is a 2.6.20.7, and I'm also running
the amd64 port.
Thanks
D.
