Slightly OT, but your answer reminded me of a query I had:
To what extent are different ThinkPad keyboards interchangeable?

I'm just looking at my T23 and T43, and the keyboards look the same;
are they actually identical?
(There are two extra keys at the bottom right of the T43 keyboard -
I've no idea what they do -
but the T23 keyboard just has these blanked out.)
