Hi,

when booting kernel 2.6.24-rc{3,4,5} thinkpad acpi shows the following
messages:

Dec 11 22:01:11 ibm kernel: thinkpad_acpi: ThinkPad ACPI Extras v0.17
Dec 11 22:01:11 ibm kernel: thinkpad_acpi: http://ibm-acpi.sf.net/
Dec 11 22:01:11 ibm kernel: thinkpad_acpi: ThinkPad BIOS 1RETDRWW (3.23 ), EC
1RHT71WW-3.04
Dec 11 22:01:11 ibm kernel: thinkpad_acpi: IBM ThinkPad T40p
Dec 11 22:01:11 ibm kernel: thinkpad_acpi: another device driver is already
handling bay events
Dec 11 22:01:11 ibm kernel: thinkpad_acpi: disabling subdriver bay

Which driver is handling bay events when the dock and bay modules are not
loaded? If there is another driver handling bay events then this driver does
a bad job, since the computer crashes each time I try to replace the drive in
the bay and I have to hold the power button for more than five seconds to
turn it off.

The bay works as expected with kernel 2.6.23.

regards,
Jörg
