Yes, I use it on my T60.

I=E2=80=99m also running 2.6.19.2 (with swsusp2 patch), but on Debian uns=

(i386, btw).

My setup is slightly different here, with Debian I don=E2=80=99t use
wpa_supplicant in daemon mode. I just set this in
/etc/network/interfaces
iface eth1 inet dhcp
wireless_nick somenick
wireless_mode managed
wpa-driver wext
wpa-ssid myssid
wpa-psk the_psk
And debian scripts launch wpa_supplicant for me when the interface comes
up :)
This is what is running:
root@rompetechos # ps -ef | grep -i wpa_supplicant | grep -v grep
root 1948 1 0 20:30 ? 00:00:00 /sbin/wpa_supplicant -B -=
P /var/run/wpa_supplicant.eth1.pid -i eth1 -D wext -C /var/run/wpa_suppli=

Debian unstable=E2=80=99s is even older:
# wpa_supplicant -v
wpa_supplicant v0.5.5

Pearhaps you need to tell wpa_supplicant to use the wireless extensions
driver (-D wext) somewhere in your config files.
