Thanks Daniel and others,
but it didn't work. I tried to the executing the xserver and also the follo=
wing
>For example in /etc/acpi/events/fn:
> event=3D3Dbutton/hotkey
> action=3D3D/etc/acpi/fn %e
In the old instructions this line was a bit different: was event=3Dibm/hotk=
ey HKEY 00000080 00001003
Just don't get why? Well, neither didn't work.
And did as instructed:
>and in /etc/acpi/fn
> #!/bin/sh
>if [ $4 =3D3D 00001003 ]; then
> =09/etc/acpi/actions/fn-f3.sh
> fi
Nothing. I tried to acpid restart to find out if it works, but:
acpid: can't open /proc/acpi/event: Device or resource bus
Why acpid is trying to open /proc/acpi/event directory and not /etc/acpi/e=
vents, as it is in the instructions?
I tried to see results by #tail -f /var/log/acpid but there was nothing on =
the screen.
WARNING: /etc/modprobe.d/ibm-acpi line 2: ignoring bad line starting with '=
hotkey=3D3Denable,0xffff'
WARNING: /etc/modprobe.d/ibm-acpi line 3: ignoring bad line starting with '=
echo'
WARNING: /etc/modprobe.d/ibm_acpi.modprobe line 4: ignoring bad line starti=
ng with 'hotkey=3D3Denable,0xffff'
WARNING: /etc/modprobe.d/ibm_acpi.modprobe line 5: ignoring bad line starti=
ng with 'echo'
So I wonder if I should change that somehow...
I also looked the examples from /usr/share/doc/acpid/examples/*
In them it was instructed to create default.sh that would deal all the diff=
erent events. I tried. So many ways to do it, which one is mine?
Thanks for your help in advance,
Lari
