[ltp] trackpoint issue thinkpad x30

Hi I am a new thinkpad owner, and have everything working perfectly
with my laptop except for one weird issue.  I can not type and have
input from the trackpoint.  so I cant shift click , or ctrl click ,
etc.  Its very annoying, i think its a bug in the driver as i can do
the alt and scroll with touchpad.  I had similar issue with this with
my mac and doing mouse button emulation.  is there a way to disable
the scrolling or make this work in any way?   any help would be
appreciated.
