Whoops, forgot to say, yes, I am running Edgy amd64. I had similar issues to Ilias who just posted. Now I'm working on using a suspend2 patched kernel. I used the config from a default edgy kernel with the patched 2.6.19.1 sources, but then I didn't have sata support. So I am just figuring out what has changed since the stable edgy kernel for my .config.
Re: the newer ati driver sxerver crashes: a workaround is to set your default output device to x11 or opengl (or aa!!) in mplayer and xine. And don't forget to dash off a cordial but firm support request to ati so they know we care. I'd prefer to see the open source devs get specs, but that's another issue.
Thanks all,
Jim
