My understanding is that historically all the different X drivers have
grown their own idiosyncratic ways to control multihead and
modesetting stuff, and that now they are ripping that kind of stuff
out of all the drivers and replacing it with the new generic randr 1.2
system.  So you might not see any specific mention of those options in
the changelog, since they're wholesale replacing the code that those
options affected.

(randr 1.2 is sweet, though.)
