Offtopic, but under what environment do you work in using your Thinkpad? What 
window manager, if any, do you use? Any desktop environment? It would be good 
to know for curiosity reasons and for testing/debugging. While single-user 
mode is the best bet, it is not a good way of testing "real world" 
situations.
