The entry-level T61 start at $999 with a configuration comparable if not
better than that one (except it's widescreen, but at 1280x800 it's at least
no worse than the meagre 1024x768).
So $1499 for this R52 seems amazingly expensive,. What am I missing?

PS: Of course, given the fact that Lenovo seems to have dropped the 14"
1400x1050 version of the T series, even though it seemed to be the most
widely sold (and of which I'm a very happy owner), I'm ready to hear
basically anything.
