Dear listmembers,
I upgraded my bios to the latest available release with no change in=20
behaviour.

Therefore there are some points I would like to post here as a wrap up (to=
=20
whom it might concern):

=2D at least kernel 2.6.18 SuSE does not support output switching on lenovo=
 X60,

=2D who depends on it, should use i810switch with the patch that treats the=
 i945=20
identical to a i855 (I found this somewhere on the Debian bugtracking syste=
m)

=2D if anyone needs assitance here, please contact me, I would be pleased t=
o=20
help (if I can)

=2D for those using SuSE 10.2 I can even supply a smooth integration that s=
imply=20
needs installing/replacing of some rpms.

Thank you all for your suggestions and your support so far; let me know if=

there is anything to test / to verify.

Moreover I found a trick to make FN-F2 (lock screen) work. I can supply=20
information on how to do this on request.
