Hi folks,
and maybe you want to take a look into the udev configuration=20
on /etc/udev/rules.d (SuSE10.2), where you should read in=20
50-udev-default.rules:
KERNEL=3D"nvram", NAME=3D"%k", GROUP=3D"thinkpad", MODE=3D"640"
and should add the people that should be allowed to access the nvram to the=
=20
thinkpad group. Or you might want to say, every user should be allowed to d=
o=20
this and write *** GROUP=3D"users", MODE=3D"640". But this depends on the=20
distribution you use. If you use the group thinkpad you will also have to=20
create it and assign the users that should be allowed to access nvram to it.
Hope this helps,
take care
Dieter
