I have a possibly related issue on my T42 (SuSE 9.3); sometimes upon
resuming I only get sound from the right speaker, none or static from
the left. It can be resolved by hibernating. I suspect that something
isn't properly resetting the sound registers; a hibernate does a full
power-off, so things start in a known configuration, but perhaps with
suspend things aren't full initialized.
