you can make a DOS ISO with FREE-Dos instead the MS-DOS, which supports USB.
But the simplest way is to install free dos on the harddisc, and make the
update from it.
i used my swap partion for it..
- edit partion table, change type of swap to fat, and mark it bootable
- download the freedos iso image
- burn cd
- install freedos on the partion
- boot linux
- download iso image bios upgrade
- mount the image loop back
- copy the files to the fat partion
- boot free dos
- flash the bios
or
- get a free dos live cd
- get bios iso image
- copy the bios files to a usb stick
- boot live cd
- flash..
