The mini-dock I ordered for my new T61 arrove yesterday. It came with
two manuals, each written in many, many languages, and each of which
contained actually only about three pages, all of which were dedicated
to safety, disclaimers, and "it's not our fault if..." There was a
poster that supposedly showed how to connect the Thinkpad to the dock,
but it contained no actual language. It was all just pictures with
supposedly universal meanings. Evidently not from my universe, however,
as I found it largely incomprehensible.
I did manage to get my T61 docked and it's functioning fine. However, I
need to know what some of the buttons and ports are for. E.g., on the
back there is what appears to be an e-SATA connector. Is it? Also,
there are some buttons on the part that sticks out at the back left,
each of which is marked with more inscrutable pictures. What do they do?
I wandered all over lenovo.com looking for additional manuals or
instructions, but evidently all you get is what came in the box. Does
anyone know if there exists an actual user manual that at least
explains the functions of the various buttons and connections?
