[ltp] Volume control on T61

So your probably using gnome. This is a problem I noticed in ubuntu
Gutsy on my T61 and I can't figure out why gnome-volume wants to go to
microphone.
Easy way to get around this is to go to system->prefrences->sound.
Under "Default Mixer Tracks" , in the box choose "PCM". Then the
volume will change that instead of the mic.
I'm not exactly sure why this happens. The ALSA driver shouldn't be
the reason, at least I see little cause from within the code. That
would cause this behavior.
If this isn't the case it's something else. But it does have something
to do with the ALSA driver for the sound card.
