[ltp] Thinkpad warranty not covering screen white spots damage?

I have the same problem with my X40. I think it really is due to pressure
damage. When my x40 would get squished in a backpack with heavy textbooks is
when I first stated to notice the spots or "blemishes".
I'm just going wait until I can find a cheap new OEM panel on eBay and swap
it out myself.
