it's likely your network is configured manually
in /etc/network/interfaces. if using Ubuntu, go to System >
Administration > Network and enable "Roaming Mode" for wireless (wlan0).
as of yesterday, the Hardy kernel driver for iwl3945 does not have LED
activity yet.
